RUSSELL LEONARD BETTS

BETTS RUSSELL LEONARD Peacefully in hospital on November 20th, 2023, aged 95 years. Dearly loved husband of June for 71 years. Father of Caroline, Virginia and Murray and uncle to Roland, Graham, Rachel and Sara. A much loved grandfather and great-grandfather of Lawrence, Joseph, Daniel and David. A well respected, valued member of the community working for the Eastern Electricity Board for 40 years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Russell's funeral will be held at St. Mary's Church, Reepham on Thursday December 14th 2023 at 12noon. Family flowers only please, however donations for St. Mary's Church, Reepham would be welcomed and may be given online at www.ivanfisher.co.uk or sent c/o Ivan Fisher Independent Funeral Home, The Old Bank, 2-4 Norwich Road, Aylsham, Norwich, Norfolk, NR11 6BN.

Russell attended Reepham Town Council meetings for many years. During my time as Chairman, Russell has been a rich source of information and advice about Reepham past and present. The Town Council will miss Russell at its meetings. He contributed much to the community in Reepham during his life.
