SPANTON DEREK ARTHUR of Smallburgh Passed away peacefully at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on December 16th, aged 83 years. Will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral service to be held at St. Bartholomew's Church, Sloley on Friday, January 19th at 2 p.m. followed by interment. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, to benefit Cancer Research UK may be given online at www.gordonhaynesfunerals.co.uk, at the service or sent to Gordon Haynes Independent Funeral Services, Marshall House, Midland Road, North Walsham, NR28 9JR.

I worked with Derek for a number of years and he was a great character.
I have many good memories co piloting with him in France and at the Norfolk show with his horses.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
