In the Crown Fire Central and South Norfolk League, Division One leaders Thetford Rovers Reserves dropped another two points drawing 2-2 away at Narborough.
However, second-placed Dereham Town A lost, being beaten 5-1 at Bridgham United
Shipdham replace Swaffham Town A in third spot after beating them by the odd goal of five and Gressenhall are up to fourth following their 2-2 draw at Bunwell.
Tacolneston won by the only goal of the game at Rockland United Great Ryburgh beat Cockers 4-3 to move away from the relegation zone and Narborough beat bottom team Cranworth 3-0. The bottom two clubs lost — Cockers were beaten 6-0 at home by Hingham Athletic while Cranworth lost by the odd goal of three at Great Ryburgh.
The Division Two leaders, Castle Acre Swifts, continued their recent poor run and dropped another two points in being held to a 1-1 draw by Sporle. Necton won 2-0 at Wymondham Town A and move up into second place as a result.
Saham Toney Reserves and Hethersett Athletic shared the spoils from a 3-3 draw and West End beat bottom team Hingham Athletic Reserves 5-1.
The Division Three leaders North Elmham enjoyed a comfortable 7-0 win at Splitz United after leading 6-0 at the break. Methwold Rovers in second place also won, beating bottom team Shipdham Reserves 6-0.
Thurton and Ashby are up to third after their 8-2 home win over Marham Wanderers while Gressenhall Reserves and Rockland United Reserves took a point each from a 3-3 draw. In the other match, Stoke Ferry beat Great Cressingham 3-0.
The Division Four leaders Diss Town A were engaged in the Norfolk Primary Cup and Shropham United Reserves took full advantage with a 3-1 win at North Elmham Reserves.
Mulbarton Wanderers Reserves enjoyed an emphatic 12-0 win at bottom club Dereham Cockers United to move up into third place. Unfortunately, for their hosts, this took their goals against total to over 100 and if they continue to ship goals at this rate, by the end of the season they will have broken the league’s record for the most goals conceded in a season.
Rampant Horse drop to fourth place after being held to a 3-3 home draw by Mattishall A.
Beetley United continue to pull away from the bottom of the table as a result of their 3-0 win at Tacolneston Reserves and Weasenham Wanderers beat Nostro Reserves 9-1.
There were some good wins for teams from the league in the third round of the Norfolk Primary Cup. Northwold S&SC won by the odd goal of three at Arches and Tugas United did likewise at Birchwood. Bawdeswell beat Wiggenhall 5-3 while Morley Village enjoyed a comfortable 6-0 win at Corpusty and Saxthorpe Reserves Diss Town A won 4-2 at MK United Reserves and Yaxham ran out 2-1 home winners over Lynn Docklands. In all league clashes, Feltwell United proved too strong for Colkirk, beating them 7-0 while Wendling also had a notable 3-2 win at Shropham United.
