The Division Two leaders went down to their first league defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-0 away by Thetford Rovers Reserves.

Necton Reserves move up to fifth after winning by the odd goal of seven at West End and Wymondham Town A continue to move away from the lower reaches of the division after winning 5-2 at Shropham United.

At the bottom of the table, Hingham Athletic Reserves beat Saham Toney Reserves 4-2 and jump above them out of bottom spot.

There were mixed fortunes for the teams pursuing the Division Three title.

Leaders Bradenham Wanderers Res won 2-0 at Gressenhall Res but second placed Castle Acre Swifts were beaten 3-1 by Northwold SSC who close the gap on Castle Acre to just one point.

Hethersett Athletic, in fourth place, soundly beat bottom team Hindolveston 8-0. The other match between Sporle and Wendling ended in a 2-2 draw.

There was just one match in Division Four and Narborough Reserves beat Breckland Wanderers 2-1.

In the third round of the Dick Davey Ambulance Cup it was a good day for the home teams. Hingham Athletic beat Shipdham 3-1 to set up a home semi-final against Stoke Ferry who were the only away winners, beating Bawdeswell 4-2.

Dereham Town A won by the same score at home to Thurton and Ashby and they will visit Splitz United in the other semi-final who were 2-1 home winners over Morley Village.

In the group matches in the Fen Regis Invitation Shield, Rockland United and Colkirk drew 2-2 in Group A, a result which now leaves Rockland having to beat Hingham Athletic in the last match to take the top place in the group.

In Group C Methwold Rovers won 4-0 at Shipdham Reserves and have qualified for the semi-finals. In Group D Nostro beat Swaffham Town A to make sure of their place in the semi-finals.
