A village road in south Norfolk is closing for 19 weeks for roadworks.

The Street in Tibenham is being closed to help resolve surface water flooding the road during heavy rainfall.

The road will close on April 11 and will remain shut until August.

It will be closed to traffic but pedestrian access and access to properties will be maintained.

There will be a signed diversion via Church Road, Mill Road, Diss Road, Long Row, Pristow Green Lane and The Street.

The work, costing £200,000, will be carried out by Norfolk County Council's community and environmental services department.
