A Norfolk bridge will reopen fully at the end of this month, five years after restrictions were put in place.
Bridgham Bridge, which crosses the River Thet and is located near Thetford, and Bridgham Lane which runs over it will be open to all vehicles from October 30 2023.

A three-tone weight restriction was put in place in 2018 following the discovery of a number of defects that required further investigation.
Norfolk County Council has been regularly monitoring the bridge during this period and is now satisfied that the restriction can be removed.
The council will continue to monitor the bridge under normal loading conditions in order to determine if any further action is required.
