Norfolk County Council is offering support to parents and carers affected by the sudden closure of three nurseries.
After Alpha Nurseries announced it would be closing The Magic Tree Nursery in Dereham, Safe Hands Day Nursery in Diss and The Willows Day Nursery in Downham Market, parents have been left without childcare.
The council is sign-posting its Family Information Service (FIS) to help offer free confidential and impartial information about local services and support for children aged 0-19 years (or up to 25 for children with special educational needs and disabilities) as well as matching families up with alternative provision in their local area.
Contact FIS’s outreach team on 0344 800 8020, email fis@norfolk.gov.uk or visit www.norfolk.gov.uk/fis.
Families who have been affected by these closures are invited to attend one of the council’s free community drop-in events:
Thursday, January 4, 9.30am-12.30pm at Dereham Library.
Thursday, January 4, 1pm-4pm at Downham Market Early Childhood and Family Service Base.
Friday, January 5, 9.30am-12.30pm at Diss Early Childhood and Family Service Base.
