It is an exciting time for Norfolk's food scene as young chefs, who have skills well beyond their years, are being promoted to top kitchen roles.

Here are five young chefs aged 25 and under to watch out for as they certainly have bright futures ahead of them.

1. Anya Robinson

18-year-old Anya was appointed the head chef of The Granary Ranworth restaurant in August 2023, after starting there as sous chef just a few months earlier - a testament to her talent. 

She previously studied at City College Norwich and she set up her own sweet treats business called Baked by Anya when she was 16.

2. Harry Williams

Harry, aged 21, has just been promoted to the head chef role at No.Twenty9 Bar & Restaurant in Burnham Market, as the right-hand man to executive chef Julian Falconer.

He joined the team as an apprentice four-and-half years ago and he has also worked at The Stiffkey Red Lion under Liam Goldstone.

3. Tiffany Long 

Tiffany Long, now 25, was named the best young chef in the country at the Great British Pub Awards 2022 while working at The White Hart in Ashill.

In January 2024, she announced her new role as a private chef for Norfolk County Catering, which can be booked for everything from intimate dinner parties to weddings.

4. Jack Cronin-Aldridge

22-year-old Jack was promoted to the head chef position at The White Horse in South Lopham, near Diss, last summer.

He has brought fresh ideas and flavours to the menu and he was also a finalist in the young chef category at the Great British Pub Awards 2022.

5. Millie Rivett

Pastry chef Millie was working at The Saracens Head in Wolterton when it was awarded an AA Rosette for culinary excellence in 2022 and she was 19 at the time. 

She has her own pastry Instagram account where she posts mouthwatering snaps of her sweet creations - from chocolate tart to panna cotta.
