A luxury B&B is launching above an award-winning café bistro in a Norfolk town.

Lisa Dunn opened Huggers along The Street in Long Stratton, part of the A140, in December 2021.

It serves a range of breakfasts, light bites and mains, with Sunday lunches and pre-bookable afternoon tea also available.

While everything on the menu is plant-based, Ms Dunn says that "80pc of customers are not vegan or vegetarian".

In 2022, Huggers was named Norfolk's best café at England's Business Awards.

She was previously a tenant but in January 2024 she purchased the Grade II-listed building, which dates back to the late 1500s.

She was recently granted planning permission by South Norfolk Council to open a B&B above Huggers, which she previously used as a storage space.

There will be four en-suite bedrooms, with the renovation now under way, and they will be available to book by early 2025.

Ms Dunn said: "They will be boutique bedrooms with individual decor.

"There is lots to do in the area and many cyclists come through Long Stratton on the Rebellion Way."
