A road attached to the A143 in north Suffolk will be closed while drainage works take place for five days.
Lion Road, in Palgrave, will be shut between 8pm and 4am from Monday, October 7, until Saturday, October 12.
Traffic will be diverted four miles via Rose Lane, Upper Rose Lane, Lower Rose Lane, A1066, Stuston Road, A143 and vice versa.
Local road users have been asked by Suffolk Highways to remove their cars parked on no parking zones highlighted along the road.
There are roadworks in place with temporary traffic lights from Tuesday, October 1 until Monday, October 7 while County Broadband carries out works.
