A £27,000 tiger platform has been built at Banham Zoo for a trio of big cats to enjoy.
The Amur tigers – Mishka and her two sons, Kash and Kumi – can now explore the addition to their home which was made possible due to a new corporate partnership programme.
The donations from UK Power Networks, Scanpole and MKM Building Supplies marked the start of The Zoological Society of East Anglia’s Together for Wildlife campaign.
UK Power Networks’ supplier, Scanpole, donated utility poles for the project and MKM Building Supplies provided the labour, materials and equipment needed for construction.
"We are incredibly grateful for the support from UK Power Networks, Scanpole and MKM Building Supplies in bringing this project to life,” Holly Naylor, carnivore team at Banham Zoo said.

“The new platforms will provide our tigers with a more stimulating and enriched environment, encouraging natural behaviours and improving their overall wellbeing.”
The Amur tiger, the largest tiger subspecies, is listed as endangered with only around 400 remaining in the wolrd due to habitat loss.
Adrian Marr, operations manager at MKM Norwich, added: "By sponsoring Tiger Territory, we’re helping to create an enhanced habitat for these majestic animals and contributing to their long-term welfare.”
