Fireworks were seen being let off from the back of a pick up truck as it travelled through a village high street.
The video, which was captured on Friday evening, shows the vehicle driving along The Street in Botesdale near Diss.
As the truck drives down the road, a series of fireworks are sent shooting into the sky as onlookers pass by.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said: "
We received a call just before 8.15pm that a group of men in a pick-up truck had thrown fireworks at a group of youngsters in The Street, Rickinghall. There are indications another vehicle might also have been involved.
“The youngsters were obviously distressed by the incident and Suffolk Police have launched an investigation."
It comes after two children were detained last week after fireworks were reportedly thrown at members of the public.
Police received the reports of the fireworks being let off in Haverhill on Friday afternoon.
Officers then quickly attended the scene and the two children were detained with a stop and search under Section 1 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
Fireworks and lighters were then recovered and seized by police, despite attempts by the children to hide them.
Anyone with any information in regards to the Botesdale incident is being asked to contact Suffolk police quoting the reference number 37/64044/24.
