Diss Town suffered a 4-0 reverse at promotion chasing Swaffham Town - and the margin of defeat would have been even greater but for a fine goalkeeping display from Kingsley Barnes.
It took Barnes just two minutes to make his first save when he made a good adjustment to push a deflected shot over the bar. The hosts continued to force corners and Callum South was next to force a save when his 13th minute header at a corner was pushed over.
The Tangerines were getting bodies in the way of efforts as the half an hour mark was reached with no goals scored. Swaffham then scored twice inside five minutes as they attacked with purpose up the slope. Luke Reed opened the scoring with a header at a corner and then Ben Coe was left in space to shoot in unmarked after Barnes had made a good save, with Jack Tipple diverting the ball at close quarter on to the bar.
Tipple had the first meaningful Diss effort at goal when his 38th minute header at a free-kick went a couple of yards wide. Two minutes later Swaffham were fortunate not to be reduced to 10 men when South only received a yellow card for tripping Keiran Hagan as he moved clear in a central position 25 yards from goal. Connor Kerry was just wide with a snap shot as the half drew to a close.
Ryan Pearson sent a 51st minute header down to just inside the post but was denied by a good diving catch from Barnes. Ten minutes later a good passing move between Hagan, Josh Lucraft and Kerry ended with Hagan shooting just wide. Two minutes later Coe smashed a fierce shot against the bar.
Seven minutes from time Diss had a first on target shot but Lucraft's 20 yard shot was easily collected by Tommy Rix. Two minutes later a flowing Swaffham move ended with Coe shooting in from 12 yards out to make it 3-0.
As the game was moving into added time Danny Tindell bundled the ball in from close range after Barnes used his feet to keep out a shot at a free kick. The win kept Swaffham eight points behind leaders Harleston Town, with three games in hand.
